Texas homeowners who have private residential swimming pools must construct a minimum 4 foot high barrier around the pool. Pool gates must self close and self latch and be capable of being locked by a padlock a combination lock a built in keypad or a key card. The barrier cannot be made of chain link fencing or have any gaps or openings greater than 4 inches wide. All swimming pools hot tubs and spas must comply with the international residential code 2009 edition and pflugerville ordinance 295 39 01 10.
Building in pool yard. Each door sliding glass door window and window screen of each dwelling unit in a residential building located in the enclosed pool yard must comply with sections 757 006and 757 007.
